Dutch Consumer Confidence Slightly Improves
The consumer confidence indicator in the Netherlands came in at -36 in June 2025, slightly improving from -37 for two consecutive months. This marked the highest reading since March, as consumer assessments improved regarding the overall economic climate (-58 vs -61 in May), the economic situation over the past twelve months (-62 vs -64), and expectations for the next twelve months (-54 vs -58). Meanwhile, views held steady for household finances over the past twelve months (-20), while they were slightly higher for the coming twelve months (-8 vs -9). In addition, consumer willingness to spend was unchanged (-20), as were their perceptions regarding the timing of major purchases (-36).
