Poland Producer Prices Fall More than Expected
Producer prices in Poland decreased by 1.5% year-on-year in May 2025, slightly more than market expectations of a 1.4% drop and following a 1.6% decline in the previous month. This marked the 23rd consecutive month of producer price deflation, amid lower prices for mining and quarrying (-10.7% vs -9.2% in April), manufacturing (-1.2% vs -1.5%), and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-1.6% vs 0.2%). Additionally, price growth slowed for water supply and waste management (2.5% vs 3.4%). On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped by 0.3% in May, after a 0.2% fall April.
